We fix all known bugs. If you find one it is usually one that we are not experiencing. We will need to able to reproduce the problem to fix it so please give an adequate description of how you can reproduce it, if possible.

If the program crashed it is important to report the program build number which can be found under the {Help | About SSChart} menu item, along with the crash address that was reported.

It is also very helpful to send a screen capture showing your program setup and any error messages. See instructions below.

Windows XP:

Note: If you are using windows XP, it no longer mentions the crash address as the previous OSes did, when a program crashes, instead you get a screen like this:

This screens wants to send a bug report to Microsoft, which they will ignore and it won't get to us.

Instead at this point click on the click here link in the above screen and you will see something like:

You can send us an email at with the hex number shown after the Offset: label above (in this example 000366d6), which will identify to us where the crash occurred in the program code as long as you include the build number.

Optionally you can click on the link above "To view technical information about the error report," and then send us the "Address:" from the screen below.

Note: these are examples, the actually numbers shown if you experience a program crash will almost certainly be different.

Making a screen capture:

If you do not have better software for creating a screen image file, you can do it by the following procedure:

(1) Type <shift><print screen> key combination on the keyboard. This will copy the current visible screen bit map to the windows clipboard.

(2) Start the Micorsoft paint program which is in the start menu under {Programs | Accessories | Paint}.

(3) Paste the clipboard into the paint program using {Edit | Paste} or the ^V key.

(4) Select {File | Save as} to save the file. Under the "Save as type:", select .gif format, give the file a name and save it.

(5) Attach the .gif file you just saved to you email to us.
